Going to try to finish all three Promies in one night. A difficult task, but I think we're up to it.
Many of you have already done these and know what to expect so I will be a bit laxed in my description for this particular mission.
Firstly, for those of you who haven't done these before you'll need to complete a little bit of prep work. Mainly Cut Scenes in Jeuno.
PM 1-1 Complete
Those are all the CS's you need to get to be able to start the Promies.
Each of the first three Promies has a different tactic for kicking you in the face.
Jobs that are helpful for the promies are: RNG, SMN. Though we will need a basic setup(1 Tank, DD"s, and 1 Healer) for the party RNG and SMN are especially effective.
The strategy for the boss fight is similar for all of the bosses. Deal as much damage as possible as fast as possible while avoiding special attacks and death. Sounds easy right? I suggest for Mages: Yag Drinks and Hi-Ethers. For Tanks: Food that buffs DEF. and Melee: Food that Buffs ACC, STR or both.
To get to the bosses we'll need to navigate through the 3 Promyvion areas. This climb to the top of the zone is a long and crappy one, with areas full of nothing but True Sight monsters and paths that will screw you over every chance they get.
At the end of each of the floors is an enemy called Memory Recepticle. It is the Placeholder for the Teleport to the next floor. We will be fighting 3 per Promyvion, 1 on each floor. You have to be quick getting onto the teleports because they disappear after a short time. Surrounding each of the Memory Recepticles are enemies called Strays. They aren't tough, but are TS and will aggro and link. IF they are attacking someone who is trying to use the teleport they wont be able to. If this happens a SMN should put their pet on the stray so the other person can zone to the next floor. Once we make it too the top we will have a chance to rest up before confronting the boss.
For Dem at least 3 people will need {{Psychoanima}} . This items "locks" the enemies special attack for 30 seconds. The only special attack the Boss in Dem has that is worth mentioning is his ability to spawn offspring. However, with 2 SMN's the offspring shouldn't be a problem. When you sign up for the event please note in a comment whether or not you will be willing to pick up a Psychoanima before the run.
The Boss in Promyvion Holla is in my opinion the hardest of the three. His Special attacks do all sorts of crappy things. One absorbs a beneficial effect like food, or protect and shell. Another Curses and Sleeps everyone. The curse/sleep combo can be devistating if you don't have a way to recover. I suggest all of the mage classes pick up {{Poison Potion}}before the run to avoid the sleep portion of that attack. Also for this fight we will need {{Hysteroanima}} and {{Psychoanima}}. 3 off each should be good for this fight. Hysteroanima, like Psychoanima, locks an action of the Boss. It locks the special attacks for 30 seconds. The attack will still show up in your log but will not activate. We will set up an order for using Animas when we meet up.
His special attack includes a Throat Slash attack that brings it's target down to 10$ health. It also has an AoE attack that does moderate damage to everyone in range. It is definitely not an easy fight. However, well timed anima's make this boss as easy as the other two. We will need 3 {{Psychoanima}} and 3 {{Hysteroanima}} for this fight as well. As before, we will go over the order in which we'll use them on wednesday.
I think that about covers the prep and mission details. Oh also the Animas can be found on the AH under Materials > Alchemy. If they are too expensive we can try to farm them beforehand. If there is anything you think should be added or any suggestions feel free to post them in the comments section. Make sure you sign up for the event, and post whether or not you'll be getting an anima or two. I don't expect one person to get them all, but if everyone can get 1 or two we'll be all set. See you all on Wednesday ^.^.
I checked the AH and Anima's are 9k a piece. Waaaay to expensive. I've been farming them and have 5 Hysteroanima's and 5 Psychoanima's so far. I'll get as many as I can beforehand. The night of the run we'll split up the items and get the actual anima's. I don't have enough gil to turn them all by myself.
