Diabolos was two bitches no? Well now we're done with that and onto bigger things...much bigger. Dragon sized things. We'll be fighting Ouryu first. After that we'll be running through the Sacrarium. I'll be splitting the missions into two seperate pages like before. Starting with Ouryu

Firstly cutscenes. Starting with the end of 3-5

  1. Firstly head to Upper Jeuno to the Infirmary and talk to Monberaux(G-10)

PM 3-5 Done

  1. Enter the Tavnazian Safehold for a scene
  2. Head upstairs in the safehold and talk to Despachiaire(K-10)
  3. Talk to Justinus(K-6) on the third floor as well for another CS
  4. Head to the Misareaux Coast and check the Dilapidated Gate(I-11) for another scene

PM 4-1 done. You also now have AH and delivery access from Tavnazia now.

And all set on CS's for this mission. Though you do have to return to another Dilapidated Gate at (F-7) in the Misareaux Coast we can do that when we leave for the mission.

**The level cap will be 50. Weapons and Armor are a must for this mission**

We'll need a couple of things for this battle and getting there.

Items:

Everyone will need Sneak and Invisible. It is preferable to bring Oils and Powders because there are bomb type mobs here that will aggro to Magic.

The tanks should bring LOTS OF Hi-Pots. I have a Hi-Pot tank with 15 charges left. I will pop all of them for the tank(s). The mages should bring their typical stockpile of Yag Drinks and Hi-Ethers. A RR earring or two wouldn't be a bad idea either.

We will need 1 other item called Mistmelts. This boss flies up into the air out of range of melee combat from time to time. While airborne he does an AoE attack that can cripple our party. Mistmelts bring him down when he's flying. One of the melee's, probably Eld, will be holding all of the mistmelts, and will have to throw them whenever Ouryu starts to fly.

That's pretty much items. As long as we have mistmelts we'll be all set. I'd say bring 6 to be safe. If we do two parties we'll need at least 4 for each party. So 8 for two parties.

Ouryu

What can we expect to see from Ouryu:

He's got a nice set of attacks that do alot of damage. Barstonra Will help very much in this battle as most of his attacks are earth based.

We do not have to bring his health down to 0. We only have to bring him down to 30% or so before he gives up. What do we do to beat him?

Party Setup:

This may be our first mission where we need to bring in two parties because more than 6 of us will need the mission.

What we will need is two parties setup something like this:

Party 1:

The other slots in the parties are wildcard but should include Mostly Melee and DD's. BLM and SMN work very well here. The reason I coupled WHM and DNC together is because the PLD or NIN should have lots of hi-pots. If a DNC goes they should only be using Curing Waltz to cure the tank. It may be hard for WHM to keep up with curing without pulling hate and that could be devistating.

Strategy

The name of the game in this fight is timing. BLM's should cast Aero 2 > Aeroga 2 > Freeze in sync in that order. The NIN should cast Doton: Ni to lower the bosses resistance to Wind. And after Aeroga 2 goes off the NIN should cast Huton: Ni to lower it's resistance to Ice just before Freeze goes off. The SMN's Should use Aero 2 from Garuda at the same time the BLM's use Aero 2

As soon as all that happens the RDM should Ele Seal + Sleep 2 and everyone should disengage. This means DO NOT Cast ANY DoT's on Ouryu. Once he's asleep the BLM and SMN's Rest MP and everyone else gets back up to full health. We put Barstonra up again and the PLD keeps voking while it's asleep to gain some hate. If he wakes up before we're ready the BLM or RDM Sleeps again. Once we're ready we get up and start the process over again.

When Ouryu uses Invincible the RDM should Sleep him and we'll disengage and wiat for Invincible to wear off before rengaging. The SMN's and the BLM should 2hr @ 50%. As long as we keep a level head and everyone know what their supposed to be doing we'll come out of this victorious.
